見てのみや人に語らん桜花手ごとに折りていへづとにせん

mi-te nomi ya
hito ni katara-n
sakurabana
tegoto ni ori-te
iezuto ni se-n

By only looking
Can we really tell others?
The cherry blossoms
Let each one break off a branch
And take them home as gifts.

Let each one: Some commentators interpret tegoto ni as "in both hands" instead.
