The spring haze
Where is it rising?
Yoshino Mountain,
On holy Yoshino,
The snow keeps falling down.

Yoshino Mountain, on holy Yoshino: The repetition of the name seems to be both for praise of the "holy" mountain as well as poetic rhythm. The mountain is often associated with snow in poetry.
