和漢朗詠集(わかんろうえいしゅう)

新編国歌大観 II.6, 和歌文学大系 47, 新日本古典文学全集 19

A collection of 804 poems, both Chinese and Japanese, assembled by Fujiwara no Kinto. They are organized by season and miscellaneous topics, with subdivisions within them. The title translates to "Japanese and Chinese poems to sing" and indicates that originally the poems were meant to be sung or chanted, although no melodies are provided or even referred to in any extant text.

An English translation by J. Thomas Rimer and Jonathan Chaves was published with the title Japanese and Chinese Poems to Sing: The Wakan Rōei Shū (Columbia University Press, 1997).
