新撰万葉集 (しんせんまんようしゅう)
新編国歌大観 II.2
This is a collection traditionally said to have been compiled by Sugawara no Michizane 菅原道真 in 893. It is also sometimes called 菅家万葉 because of this. The 555 poems are a combination of Chinese verse, and Japanese poems written in the Man'yōgana. It draws many of its poems from two poetry contests of the period, and an important source for evidence of pre-KKS public poetry. McCullough discusses the collection in Brocade by Night, see especially pp 261-275.
